The ground heat source pump works in a similar way to your fridge, but in reverse, taking the heat that is already stored in the ground. As the fluid in the bore hole/pipe work is pumped around by the pump it collects the stored heat passing this heat to a storage vessel for use with domestic hot water or under floor heating.
